If you like to have a cocktail every now and then, keep your money at home if you set out to do your consuming in a casino. I’m serious. Empty your pocketbook, your money belt, and leave all cash, charge cards and chequebooks out of the casino. Pack whatever cash you expect to spend on beverages, tips and few dollars you anticipate to lose and keep the remainder behind.

Cynical? Absolutely not. Just realistic. You can experience a profit following a drunken night out with your compatriots and be lucky enough to hook a 25 minute toss at a hot craps table. Don’t forget that adventure because it is as brief as it gets if you consistently consume alcohol and bet. The pair simply do not mix.

Keeping your moola back at the hotel might be a bit dramatic, but defensive measures for drastic behavior is compulsory. If you play to win, then don’t drink alcohol and play. If you are able to afford to be wasteful with your assets without a worry, then drink all the gratuitous alcohol you can handle, but don’t carry plastic credit and checkbooks to throw into the mix of going after losses after your dead drunk head squanders all the cash!

Permit me to carry this a single step more. Don’t drink alcohol and then jump on to the internet to wager in your preferred casino either. I love to cocktail from the comfort of my condo, but since I’m connected through Neteller, Firepay and have charge cards near by, I can’t drink alcohol and wager.

Why? Although I do not drink alcohol to excess, once I drink, it’s certainly enough to cloud my better judgment. I wager, so I do not consume alcohol when wagering. If you are a drinker, do not wager when you do. Both create a decimating, and crazy, drink.
